Comments Thread For: Badou Jack Says Cut is Stronger Now Than Rest of His Skin

Badou Jack (22-2-3) was last in action January when he lost a unanimous decision to Marcus Browne in Las Vegas. During the fight he suffered a hellacious cut down the center of his forehead. The cut required plastic surgery to heal properly and Jack says that there isn't any concern of the cut opening back up.

Scar tissue is generally thicker & harder than normal skin. The problem is, it doesn’t stretch, so the skin around it is compromised, it tears more easily when stretched.

Yeah. It’s not actually a good thing around the eyes

Problem is that Jack looked lethargic in that fight against Browne, even before the cut. He wasn't letting punches go and didn't seem himself. Could be a lot of reasons but you have to wonder how much of himself he left in the ring after the Stevenson fight (same could be asked regarding Adonis as his next fight was Gvozdyk).

We know Pascal is shopworn but his chin, heart and overhand right seem to still be there. It was enough to give Marcus Browne serious trouble (and I though Pascal was going to take a serious beating in that fight). The question is, does Jack have enough left in the tank to overcome the shopworn but dangerous Pascal?

I will predict Pascal in a mid-late round stoppage (say 8th) in an ugly fight. I'm not particularly good at predicting these things tho....
