That shows the power of having an influent promoter. Some boxing people (like Breadman) feel like Ennis could compete (if not beat) some current 147lbs "Top Dogs".

Suprisingly, as of December 19th, Danny is actually ranked Number 1 WBO 147lbs.

The worst is when a champion has a tuneup and as soon as the fight is announced, the "tuneup" gets a pretty good ranking.

The latest example: Luke Keeler got ranked Number 3 WBO as soon as the Andrade fight was confirmed.

Thank you for point this out, then in 4 years time we would be told that the tune up was ranked high by the organisations when he fought the champion.

You could tell someone was going to get a shot when he is nowhere 2 months prior and all of a sudden he is ranked in the top 5-10 of the organisations, then bam he is fighting the champion.

It’s disgraceful, and am not targeting PBC alone in this, all of them do it, Matchroom, Top Rank, Golden Boy, Queensbury promotions etc

The PBC basically ranked Garcia not the WBC. He hasn’t beaten anyone to be ranked by the WBC as a mandatory. But whatever....
