DAZN is a bit like a pyramid scheme in that it requires new members to put money in which then filters to the top. The only difference is that DAZN's business model is not illegal lol.

As long as the money keeps coming in (ie new subscribers) then big money be paid out to the marquee fighters like Joshua, GGG and Canelo.
Of course, there are other ways they fill the pot too such as advertising revenue, sponsors, wealth fund managers who pay over the odds to host events (like the Saudis did with Joshua-Ruiz II)....

PS - I'm not saying DAZN is a pyramid scheme.

Only LDBC PBC idiots think DAZN’s revenue is solely from the USA. It’s like saying JPMorgan’s US dollar only matters vs JPMorgan’s Sterling or Euro markets.

All DAZN revenue matters not just DAZN USA. The Japanese, Spanish, Brazilians get Canelo too. Let’s be honest, the Japanese view Canelo like Ken from street fighter, the Spanish like white skinned fighters, and the Brazilians just like elite fighters. It all plays out

If anybody here understands business, especially new or start up businesses then what DAZN have been doing doesnt seem so strange. They have said they have built their stable now and silly money is going to die down but right now they still splashing. Obviously in the long run overpaying everybody is not sustainable, we will have to see how they continue to do business. But its surely good for the Boxing fans while it lasts. Some so called fans just want to cry about anything that has Eddie Hearn in it and some just want to crap on anything not PBC and some fans just are not feeling it. But **** for your buck it seems like a bit of a bargain, right now.

But then FOX and SHOWTIME have been taking hits in the pockets of their Wilder PPVs. That Ortiz 2 fight bombed big time and if its true (not that i believe this) that they had to pay Wilder and Ortiz $27million Dollars between them for their PPV fight then somebody somewhere has lost ALOT of money down the line.

they had to guarantee him 20 million or he would have signed with DAZN. Never go by commission purses. They aren’t accurate at all.

You think mgm paid them a site fee and gives them a cut of truck revenue from the fight too? Lmaoooo it’s one or the other

And the fact that they moved by homie from the upper bowl down to 2 rows from the floor for free tells you they didn’t sell many tickets.

I always expected DAZN to take over – not just the boxing market, but to become a global sports behemoth.

I just didn't expect it to happen this quickly.
