Canelo getting foty is debatable. Both of his fights in 2019 were fairly boring match ups and 1 win was vs a near zombie in Kovalev who was clearly danged goods and fighting for the 2nd time in 10 weeks. Canelo is given extra credit for the weight jump. Pac and Spence have decent cases with their wins and were each involved in exciting fights with spence vs porter and pac vs Thurman. I also think Wilder's ko over Breazle was better than his ko of Ortiz. I felt Inoue vs donaire was more exciting that prograis vs Taylor. None of these awards are really cut and dry. It's all subjective.

What a poorly written article? I am sorry guys. I am not trying to put anyone down but try working a little harder next time by correcting the mistakes and then the overall quality of the writing will improve.

Hell no! We just had a potential candidate of the year for that one last Saturday night with Charlo vs Harrison and also let's not forget Spence vs Porter.

Not sure about Canelo as FOTY. He's in the conversation for sure but there's a few guys more deserving in my opinion.

He's gone the route of Floyd Mayweather, picking marketable names that shouldn't pose too much risk. That's not a criticism, this is prize fighting but I think other less popular fighters have taken more challenging paths. Gvozdyk before he lost to Beterbiev, or Beterbiev himself would have gained more kudos than Kovalev who was still dangerous but faded. He'd struggled past a novice in his previous fight.

Canelo vs Jacob was garbage! Overhyped fight that did not deliver.. Both guys carefully counting their money at the fans' expense. Shameful. But truth is like poetry, and most people facking hate poetry.

Mayweather route? Who were the marketable names that Floyd picked vs legit names that were available (with possibility of the fights actually being made?

                      Here's my one prediction:

Knockout of 2020: Wilder (W) vs Fury, round 1.
