Chocolatito was still watched closely after he starched Fuentes in a comeback fight since the KO loss to Rungvisai, already after h ewon against Fuentes there were fans demanding him to fight Nietes again or Yafai, but when the injury came, that's when he fell off, so the fans of the sport still loves Roman Gonzalez despite his loss, it's not the stardom before his losses, it's still a sizable fanbase.

Had Eddie Hearn pick up Roman Gonzalez, do you really think we wouldn't get a report out of him? Many fans still loved Roman Gonzalez its that when promoters doesn't want him, then we don't get the information or the reports out to cover him.

He was p4p #1 no question and if you can't see the talent he had it really just shows how little you know about boxing. The problem for him was that he moved too far up in weight looking for new challenges. He was never big enough for 115lbs.
Agreed. If Gonzalez was a middleweight he’d be hailed as an ATG. A lot of people just dismiss him because the lower weights aren’t marketable.

Personally, I hope he goes back to 112 lbs, unless he rematches Estrada or faces Nietes or maybe Ioka. I don’t wanna see him in with a guy like SSR again.
