Mayweather wins fighter if the decade yahoo.com

The boxer of the decade for 2010-19 went undefeated while fighting the best of the best.

Pretty easy decision despite not fight for the last half of it.

Fight of the decade - Pacquiao vs JMM IV

KO of the decade - Pacquiao vs JMM IV

These three are easy choices. The rest can be debated.

Floyd Mayweather was an absolute boxing legend. Discipline personified outside the ring eg didnt drink to excess or smoke and didn't squander his talent. In my lifetime probably my favourite boxer.I'll have to wait on others notably Fury and Wilder before they finish their career to see how they weigh up against Mayweathers. In fairness to Fury/Wilder the best fight I ever saw was the their first fight notably for the way Fury got back up from that 12th round knockdown 😮.

An argument could be made for each against the others, but there is no rational argument for any of them to be put ahead of Mayweather.
Carnelo is a VERY close consideration. But the thing is, this last decade (2009 - 2019) basically covers the entire 'Money' Mayweather period. His biggest money fights, his complete crossover, and his transformation from a guy everyone thought was great, to the top guy in the sport. The problem is, until you hit 2016, you're going to have to keep listing Floyd on there because he had at least one great win once every year through 2015 - and each of those one wins except MAYBE Robert Guerrero, Andre Berto and Victor Ortiz surpasses the wins of most anyone except Carnelo.

Joke article. Pac s did far more over 10 years than floyd ever did. The amount of losses Floyd has denied us by only fighting 5 years? He's a law upon himself.

Floyd was the more talented though.

Crushing blow to Canelo, Pacquiao, Crawford, and others who worked so hard for the entire decade.

Mayweather is so good that he only fought 10 fights during that whole decade and he still won.

What's so good about beating a former flyweight with 70 fights under belt? What's so good about beating green cw nelo? Yes, nel o has become really good since.
But that's like saying Bobby watts win over Hag Ler was best win over decade because of what Hag Le r eventually became
