  • Comments Thread For: Ryota Murata Drops, Stops Steven Butler In Five Rounds

The past 12 months proved far more memorable to Ryota Murata than was the case a year ago. The two-time and reigning secondary middleweight titlist closed out 2019 with a ****, taking out Steven '**** ****' Butler in a one-sided 5th round stoppage win Monday evening at Yokohama Arena in Yokohama, Japan. Murata dropped Canada's Butler late in round five, prompting an immediate stoppage. The official time was 2:45 of round five.

Butler too inexperienced, Murata has no other method than throwing bombs. As soon as he meets someone just over average, he will probably be knocked out. He's fun to watch, though.

So you're saying that Jeff Horn saved Zerafa from a brutal beating?

Why can't Jermall Charlo fight Ryota Murata instead of Demetrius Andrade? After all, he is a WBA Middleweight titleholder too. It could be for a unification bout; The WBC and the WBA.

Glad to see Gonzalez back with a win.

Also looking forward to catching up on the Mthalane Vs Yaegashi fight, I heard it was a good one.

I like Mthalane, he just quietly gets his business done.

As far as I can see, Zerafa is very sloppy. Therefore yes, Murata would have most probably knocked him out. And, of course, he would send Horn to the hospital if they ever fought.

If Murata vs Horn happens in the outback, I'm not so sure. Murata has no upper body movement, he's a plodder with ear muffs on most of the time. I can see Horn grappling with him in Queensland, hahaha, excuse me, and getting a decision.

You may have a point. On the other hand... god forbid!

However, Horn is not a middleweight as we all saw, so I still believe that Murata would knock him out.

So your wanting Charlo to go after the fighter who you view less talented/more beatable?

                    why?
