Arum already blessed it. He told BOMAC to convince Crawford. Terence is the only one ducking.

Spence needs Crawford if he wants to be great.

The answer should be obvious: BECAUSE HES FACED CANS & NEEDS A MARQUEE NAME,but unfortunately I don't think Buds genuinely after fighting the fighters that are considered a true challenge unless they are Spence or Pacquiao aka legacy cashout fights that are also not happening anytime in immediate future. Thats why he signed with Top rank where fighters have a built in excuse & are still ranked higher than fighters like Spence who actually is fighting the best possible opponents
Do you really think Crawford only wants a Spence or a Pacquiao fight?

          Check out these names:
          Spence
          Pacquiao
          Thurman
          Porter
          Ugas
          Garcia

Most match-ups within this group already happened but we've yet to see someone dominate the other. We've seen someone edging or being slightly better but none of them really separated themselves from the group as the superior fighter. Most of us thought it was Spence but we've seen what happened against Porter - he's no different.

All Crawford needs is a crack against any of the names above. Not saying he would surely win but it's enough motivation for him to prove what he is claiming for

Think about this - let's just say he gets a fight against Porter or Garcia and let's just say he beat them and prove that he is the superior fighter in the fight. That itself will land a huge statement and create a shake-up within the group above. So he doesn't need to fight just Spence or Pacquiao to prove his point. Just one of the names above

And (except Spence) beating those guys, at least one, should be a requirement to face the top guy.

If Bud doesn't take this Porter fight if he cant get either Spence or Pacman than he will lose my respect.

I really don’t understand why promoters just don’t work together. It’s not the 60’s anymore and the sport needs it.

Crawford shouldn’t need to fight someone to get the Spence fight. That being said, Spence just got into a horrific car accident, so Crawford needs to fight someone else. Any of the PBC guys is a far better option than anyone available. That’s why he needs to face one before fighting Spence.

One thing we do agree though is that Crawford needs to prove himself as the top WW, but I do think Crawford wanted to do it and he's frustrated no opportunity comes in front of him. He really wanted that Garcia fight. For Porter, it's really hard when friendship is on the line. I leave it up to Crawford but this is the most logical fight for him next imo, since Danny doesn't have a pair of balls and wants to keep on fighting cans.

I'd be surprised if it happens. PBC loves these fights where they have everything to gain and nothing to lose. Porter would likely need a belt for Arum to take this. Crawford and Arum need to give pacman his 20 mil.
