    I stand corrected.

And he's a very good boxer, only lost to elites like GGG and Canelo and the mysterious Pirog (and he had cancer at that time).

The guy is squeaky clean. Why isn't he doing commercials, or making appearances on TV talk shows?

What other US boxer could possibly be more appealing to everyone? And let's get real here...he is a non-threatening black man, unlike Wilder who has made some poorly thought out remarks IMO.

      What's up with dat?

To single out American blacks as hooligans on a board where we’re sorely underrepresented respective to actual black excellence in boxing, or in an actual sport arenas where fans are sorely underrepresented respective to black excellence, is laughable. Especially as you speak to someone who is black, lives in the us and has been on this board and to dozens of fights over the last decade.

Look how black boxers are characterized, unskilled, thugs, reckless, etc. routinely by media and other fans while we see at the very least equal skill and professionalism to other cultures.

And don’t get me wrong, i don’t blame this on the fans so much, promoters stir up this fervor. Promoters like clashes between worlds to draw in the fans, to put butts in seats. They simplify stereotypes and magnify differences. But when fans lose sight of the fact that this is a marketing tool, ie you, conclusions get drawn across lines that aren’t factual.

Believe what you may, you’ve been accustomed to black American excellence in boxing and there are still more black American boxing champions now than British champions period, so you still have a long climb lad.

Canelo got DAZN, Tecate, etc commercials, Pacquiao use to have those Hennessy promos yet Floyd didnt? Even a loudmouth like Conor McGregor managed to land Burger King spots for that ****y Chicken Sandwich all while Mayweather owns a bunch of BKs

Jacobs doesn't have the it factor, ES Jr. does yet that accident might have fcked his career, potential endorsements, etc Don't get me wrong privilege & racism exist yet I feel that boxing is a underground sport like wasn't George Foreman the last one "to be out there' selling grills?
