If that was indeed the case he would be in the hospital in the intensive care unit, in a coma on life support. Please people! C'mon; Use your deductive and inductive reasoning and your five senses.

If the man's condition was in dire straits, then there wouldn't be no way for him to be able to walk around, speak, eat, drink or be out of the hospital in less than two months.

The man spent less than six days in the hospital for Heaven's sake for his injuries. Those doesn't appear to be life threatening injuries to me.
