  • Is there a better schooling example than Floyd-Canelo?

I mean, on the elite level.

I just re-watched the fight last night and boy oh boy was it a complete textbook destruction on all fronts. Can you think of a same level or better example? Floyd was right though - the more accolades Canelo gets, the sweeter that W becomes.

Floyd vs Corrales and Floyd vs Gatti come to mind.

It was one of mayweathers easiest fights. Canelo is just nowhere near his level

That wasn't a schooling, that was Spence just taking what Mikey gave him. Mikey came to survive, not to win, so all Spence had to do was throw.

Not a schooling. Moretti would have had it 118-110 or 120-108 which such cards and fights exist on all judges cards.

Canelo is on another level than Floyd since no 23 year old, drained to 152, got out point on the 3rd counter.

At the upper echelon elite level, rarely do you see even a green elite go to the 3rd counter.

Mayweather strike, misses, Canelo strikes, misses, Floyd lands the 3rd counter point.

That is expected from an elite counter puncher in Floyd showing Canelo elite counter punching.

Floyd vs Canelo was a school of counterpunching strictly. Name a fight where counterpunching goes to the 3rd strike. It’s usually just 1 to 2, whom lands first.

No shame in the Canelo fight since Floyd had his fight style at 23. No difficulty like Canelo had nor experienced at his age.

Mayweather vs Gatti is still probably the best Master Class I've ever seen

RIP Gatti but yeah that was brutal and it was done in front of his fans mostly
