It’s not rocket science. Davis can punch and can take a punch. I don’t remember the last time I saw a boxer who had no power and had a suspect chin be highly successful. You need to have one or the other or both. And even then, having no power but a good chin, can only get you far in boxing. Likewise for boxers with good power but no chin. They have limitations.
Let’s say you find Davis to have inferior skills compared to Haney; there are more fighters/examples of fighters who had good chin/power and were successful: than there are examples of a fighter who was featherfisted and lacked a good chin but still was very successful.
Haney has his work cut out for him and he will have to do a whole lot of that hugging, holding and tackling like he pulled on Linares.Comment

Haney because he can at least move up to 140, and maybe achieve something there.
I don't think he has the ability to go any higher than that. His power is too lacking.
Haney is doing well at 135, because he is bigger, faster than all of these guys. Plus his skills are ether in par with the best or just above.
