So sad, but I saw this coming a month or two ago.
I swear, being involved in a promotion and fight with Chavez is like having a loud, ugly, and vindictive baby mama....since she knows she's a POS, she's gonna try to embarrass you as much as possible and bring your value down.
She just can't do anything smooth or amicably, so you now have to be part of the shit show until it's all over or until she makes you look and feel as bad as she does.
Fighting Chavez is the same way...you want your payday without all of the extra attention, but others have to get involved in order for simple things to take place.
He makes this whole fight look like a joke.

I really think Chavez was a waste of talent. This kid was a good boxer, had a great chin had power, he really had it all except discipline.

I’m a big Jacobs fan but *** him for even agreeing to fight this disgrace to the sport of boxing, *** Hearn for giving Chavez the platform to embarrass boxing once again with the lack of integrity and dedication to respect the sport and *** jr for even carrying on with his farce of a boxing career just retire already

They aren't actually weighing themselves at the ceremonial weigh in therefore it's "fake"

I don't understand the point of this fight. Chavez had something in his system PEDs or street drugs which is why he skipped out on the VADA drug tester who came to his gym forcing him to be suspended by Nevada commission, Hearn moves the fight to another state to get around that commission ruling putting Matchroom's future with Nevada in jeopardy. Chavez takes Nevada to court to get a temporary restraining order to stop Nevada from blocking him. He makes a mockery by missing weight and by a drastic amount. And still Hearn won't move on and cancel this fight now moving to a 173 catchweight almost at the full light heayweight limit. It's not like this massive mismatch is going to draw huge subscriptions for DAZN it's not worth putting your future with Nevada on the line and drawing this much negative press from boxing fans and media. Chavez doesn't care about boxing anymore what does he have to shoot Hearn in the leg for him to say this just isn't worth it?
