What do you base your opinion off? The first decent opponent he fought and he got clobbered. Is he like a Heavy Amir Khan?
Does Luis Ortiz have a glass jaw? Why? Why not?

Well I am not sure.
I think there’s (sadly) two mainstream opinions about him:
WILDER FANS:
“He’s like the second or third best heavyweight in the world!! EVERYBODY ducks him — except for Wilder who’s beat him twice.”
JOSHUA FANS:
“He’s a nobody whose like 99 and has all kinds of health problems! ANYBODY could beat him but they don’t want to waste the fight on him when there’s better names to get on their resume.”
IMO, Ortiz looks pretty solid, but I think his power is greatly overrated, at least after the first Wilder fight which took something out of him (he didn’t just get hit once, but ate multiple hard shots). Christian Hammer is no elite boxer and he seemed to have no problem with his shots. I think Ortiz is a decent boxer with decent power but little else. As for his chin, I think you can make an argument that it was pretty good in that it held up solidly in the first Wilder fight. I can’t think of any other big name he’s fought expect for Jennings. In the second Wilder fight he probably got hit harder than Brazeele or Szpilka and yet he got up after about 15 seconds and although his eyes crossed he seemed pretty ok after a minute or so. Not many people would be able to do that IMO. So he’s got a half decent chin IMO. -
He's not packing glass but he's an old man and he's no longer on the juice. His punch resistance as well as his stamina, reflexes and speed are nowhere where they were 5 years ago, which is the reason Wilder "took the risk" to fight him. He got dropped by Hammer, it's safe to say he gets KOed by most of the top guys (besides the top 3) like Ruiz, Povetkin, Whyte, Parker, Usyk, Rivas, etc. It's not even about chin anymore, he just doesn't have the stamina to last 12 rounds against the top guys.Comment
