That's the other problem. Not only shouldn't you tell the public in advance that there's a rematch clause, you certainly don't want them to think there's a third fight no matter what (especially when it isn't true). If either fighter is brutally knocked out, there's no guarantee they'd exercise the rematch clause.Comment

Boxing doesn't even try to cover up how corrupt and driven by money it is now. Knowing there is a 3rd fight kind of makes the 2nd irrelevant to me. Why the hell should I care about who wins the 2nd when I have another to watch soon after. Boxing is corrupt even when what they are doing isn't always a corrupt action.Comment

I don't love this but I also don't hate it. If Joshua is tied up fighting his mandatories for the first half of 2020 then it gives Fury amd Wilder time to do their thing. I'd rather see Wilder and Fury fight twice than see them fight some no namer.Comment
