For me, it's a matter of how it ends, which depends on Gamboa. If he's too aggressive, it ends early. I'd love for him to oblige and box with Davis. I give Gamboa a chance to be competitive that way.

Not gonna be a walk in the park. Gamboa still is a live body, and this is his biggest forum. If he can beat Davis, he's set for life.
I never said you said he would lose
But that is exactly my point , you went about this wrong to try and justify Davis’s decision to fight a no hoper ( as usually )
Now I kind of hope the impossible does happen just to see where you’d go after that
I hope Gamboa wins , kind of like that chit Ruiz pulled off against AJ
Would love to see your reasoning for that especially after saying he’s a live dog ( which I feel is the furthest from the truth )
    Cry wolf often ?

This is only a 10-minute clip of Gamboa's last fight against Martinez (age 36). Watch it in its entirety first. Listen to Paulie as well. Despite his age, notice how much of a shape he's in. He looks like a lion in his prime. Gamboa is a live dog. Somewhat slow, too, I know.

I'm actually more impressed after rewatching his last fight. Gamboa is still pretty fast and throws fast combinations as well.

Davis better be on his game.

I don't know how to embed. Maybe somebody can help?
Gamboa showed some skill and power but Martinez was not throwing back.
Gamboa will be in for a world of hurt if he tries to use that strategy of walking him down.
Tank will fire back and destroy Gamboa.
      It's probably a 95/5 fight but atleast it's a name for Tank.

You seem pissed off. What's up? It's my opinion.
Why go anywhere if Davis loses? Fanboys do that.

You're not going to convince any actual boxing fans, but you might convince Tank groupies like yourself, or people new to the sport.

I remember a soon-to-be-shot Simon Brown knocking the fùck out of then highly touted Terry Norris (who became shot as well later on).

Anything is possible in boxing, but my gut feeling is that if Tank is well trained, this won't go beyond four or five rounds.

funny thing about this fight, a prime Gamboa boxes Tanks ears off for 12 rounds.

I don't know if he boxes his ears off but I do think a prime Gamboa would present issues with his explosiveness. Actually today's Tank Davis and Gamboa circa 2010-2012 would present problems for each other in that regard. Unfortunately (for Yuri), it's 2019 and Davis is way younger and fresher so I expect him to win by mid-round stoppage as long as he trained well.

                  No not at all
Being here a few years , I know your a huge Davis fan
It just sounds like you are playing both sides of the field , if he loses or wins you covered both
I just think that Tank should be fighting all the big boys out there , especially if he wants to be considered one of the best
Seems like he’s already decided to skip Loma by stating he can fight LSC after Gamboa
It really seems like a page out of Floyd’s playbook

I honestly don't even mind that fight. LSC has gotten a pass for everything lately and has gotten paid well for not doing much.

That would of been a long time ago
Gamboa has not been a factor in years
Tank should be able to take him out with ease
