Ya think maybe Canelo can fight Andrade, Charlo, Sergiy Derevyanchenko, Maciej Sulęcki or anyone at 160, in his weight class under 36 ? Nobody is asking Canelo to unify, that's crazy hard and why only all time greats like Hopkins, Hagler and Crawford did it.
Just sayn...
S3 prime fighters Canelo beat were Trout, Lara, and Jacobs.
What young lions was he supposed to fight that he hasn’t yet?
Andrade? Charlo? Lmao.
To me a boxer’s prime is 28-32 years old.
Canelo and Mosley are 19 years apart in age. Were they supposed to fight when Mosley was 28-32 years old and Canelo was 9-13 years old?
Canelo and Mayweather are 13 years apart in age. Were they supposed to fight when Mayweather was 28-32 years old and Canelo was 15-19 years old?
Canelo and Cotto are 10 years apart in age. Were they supposed to fight when Cotto was 28-32 years old and Canelo was 18-22 years old.
Canelo and Golovkin are 8 years apart in age. Were they supposed to fight when Golovkin was 28-32 years old and Canelo was 20-24 years old?
Canelo and Kovalev are 7 years apart in age. Were they supposed to fight when Kovalev was 28-32 years old and Canelo was 21-25 years old?
How dare Canelo be born much later than those guys, lmao.Last edited by factsarenice; 12-17-2019, 04:34 PM.Comment

Canelo, dropping belts to avoid prime lions is not a coincidence, it's a money making pattern and a great one at that... BUT let's not make believe it's on the level of unifying a weight class....it's not.
Unification is exponentially more difficult and that's just a fact.
The few people that put Canelo above Crawford and Loma on their P4P confuse popularity with accomplishment. I would expect people on the site to know better and push back but evidently some don't know the difference. Unfortunately there are a few "so called" experts that convolute the two as being equal and in doing so give the cult follower hollow talk points.
In the end it's a marketing technique that generates money and that's great for the sport but P4P it's not.
There I said it, somebody had to.Comment

Eventually I think Canelo should fight Andrade since it’s an easy fight to make.
He shouldn’t be expected to fight Charlo or any PBC fighters though.Comment

We have to accept that Canelo thinks differently, he'd rather pursue another weight class than to bother collecting all the belts at 154. When a guy fights trout, lara, golovkin, jacobs, kovalev...you can't call him scared or inferior for not unifying. This guy is just taking a different approach to carving his legacy and it has less to do with collecting trinkets. Belts are as valuable as you think they are. And let's be real, Canelo doesn't care about belts as much as the Organizations care about their belt around Canelo.Comment

None of them will fight TC. So he can just keep being himself in the meantime and dominating best available competitionComment

Well, Canelo is supposed to fight Saunders (30 years old) or Smith (29 years old) in his next fight so there’s that.

Danny instead fought Adrian Granados for peanuts in a tiny half full arena. The fight was estimated to make Danny between 1 and 1.25 million.
It's obvious that Danny simply doesn't want to fight Crawford.Comment
