What is your opinion or hypothesis on why Tyson Fury parted ways with Ben Davison and hired Sugar Hill and his cousin Andy instead?
One thing I was thinking about is how Ben Davison occasionally would have freak-out moments over Tyson’s odd behaviors. For example, Bunce once talked about on his podcast how Fury guzzled beer the evening before the big fight with Wilder, and Davison had a bit of a freak out over that.
Maybe Fury got tired of being told what to do? I have a feeling Davison takes the Wilder rematch VERY seriously, and knows Wilder is one of the most dangerous heavyweights of the last fifty years. However, I get this carefree tough guy vibe from Fury at times almost like he doesn’t feel scared enough.
In my opinion, to beat Wilder, Fury needs to come into the ring super-fit and fight like he’s fighting for his life against a serial killer in some dark alley.
Not to be inappropriate, but he needs to have the vibe of Nigel Benn when he came in to the ring and fought McClellan in their infamous fight.

The guy looked terrified and rightly so, but he won. Of course the end result was tragic for the McClellans, but you can see what I mean about Benn if you watch his actions, mannerisms, and just feel the vibe he sends out before and throughout the fight.
I’m not a fanboy of either Fury or Wilder, I appreciate them both.
But mark my words, if Fury takes this fight lightly, he’s going to be another highlight on Wilder YouTube videos. BUT if he trains well and fights like a desperate, scared maniac, I really think he can pull off a win. He’s shown before he has a decent chin and good movement against Wilder. BUT Wilder has much better ring IQ and adjustments than people think, so Fury CAN’T rest on his laurels and think that the fight will play out the same as the first time. He’ll be dealing with a different monster this time.
Mark my words.
