  • Comments Thread For: Arum Erupts Over Hearn Pushing Forward With Chavez Jr.

Top Rank's CEO Bob Arum is shaking his head at the controversial situation involving former WBC middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. On December 20, Chavez Jr. is scheduled to fight Daniel Jacobs in a main event bout on DAZN. The fight was originally scheduled to take place in Las Vegas - but Chavez Jr. was suspended by the Nevada State Athletic Commission.

This is coming from the same guy who said if Margarito wasn't approved to fight by the New York Commission, he'd move the 2nd Cotto fight to another state.

Margarito was not under suspension. He had a medical issue with his eye and the NYSAC was worried about vision. Arum agreed to have Margarito undergo all of their medical tests on the eye and he passed.

Hearn trying to pull a PEDillian in the US. It won’t work. He has BBBoC on the payroll. He can’t bribe America....cuz others have already beaten him to it!

Bob is right on the money with this. I expect for Chavez jr not to be licensed by the commission t the hearing on Thursday.

Eddie Hearn was right to file a lawsuit. How can they make you do VADA testing when the fighters haven't even signed a contract yet. I don't care what the commissions "rules" are! The Commission is a power hungry.

If that is the case in USA why did Carl Froch doubted Canelo & Pacman's being drug free?! Or just a simple case of jealousy or staying relevant like Floyd after retirement?!

NSAC is just c**kblocking the fight because they missed out on it.

I highly doubt Chavez Jr. is the first boxer to ever refuse a drug test when they don’t even have a fight scheduled yet.

I think NSAC just doesn’t like Chavez Jr. very much.

BS seems to be very interested in Jr. lately. Even big Baby didn't receive as much attention for his multiple failed tests as this fella.

He also went ahead with Margarito and Pacquiao while he was still suspended by California
