"Just a couple of rounds"
Yet another bait & switch headline that implies Loma predicted he'd stop Teofimo in 2 rounds. BEH.

Complete Fabrication
This is what this article said Loma said, "I'm not IMPRESSED, because it was just a couple of rounds, and I don’t understand [who else he’s fought],” Lomachenko told a group of reporters at ringside. “He has the power. Of course, he has the power, and he’s a smart fighter. But it depends on the opponents.”
This is what Loma actually said and to give context this article didn't, Lomas was asked 'What did you see in Teofimo's performance tonight?' "I can't explain, because it was just a couple of rounds and I don't understand [what happened]. This is boxing. This is why we love the sport".
Loma was next asked did Teo do anything to impress him. Loma's reply was 'He always has power. And he's a smart fighter. But it depends on your opponent.'. Next he was asked what his plans for 2020 are. "I want to unify the titles. And after that I want to organize a fight with Gervonta Davis."
Sounds different doesn't it? Takes the steam of of this articles twisted agenda. Funny how agenda and piss poor reporting can twist the narrative. Loma is a straight up with balance and clarity interviewee. In no way did he diss or was he saying he wasn't impressed. He said paraphrasing that he's going to need to see the tape to carefully analyze what happened. It happened so fast. I should be a reporter. I'd give the true facts and only the facts.
He congratulated Teo before any of this dialogue in this video and welcomed Teo to his club of world champions.

Loma point blank never said "I'm not impressed" and never insinuated "I don't understand who else he has fought". What's the title of this article? Loma 'Not Impressed' With Lopez, 'Just A Couple Of Rounds' by Keith Idec.
It's honorable enough that they will fight it out in the ring. It's really ****ing irritating that they have to fight the reporters narrative mainly by shutting down to not even being interviewed because co**suckers like Keith Idec will misreport. Why should they battle these agenda driven pricks?
Idec added to his false narrative and said. 'Lomachenko didn’t mention Commey (29-3, 26 KOs), yet he seemingly implied that he still doesn’t think much of any of Lopez’s conquests. Nevertheless, the 22-year-old Lopez became a world champion in just his 15th professional fight by taking the IBF lightweight championship from Commey.'
In this interview, Loma never seemingly implied that he doesn't think much of Lopez's conquests. This is a complete making up a narrative to serve the article rather then the article serving the readers with the point blank reality of what Loma said last night. Loma would never diss Teofimo for the accomplishment he just manifested, a world title at 22. Loma has too much respect for what it takes to win a world title. Now Teo is worthy of fighting with, he has a title to compete for. Welcome to my club is the acknowledgement that Teo has arrived and is now in a special club of only a select few. Now that's reporting.
Loma is from Eastern Europe where they believe you prove it in the ring, and they avoid hyperbolic words outside the ring. The idiotic statements fighters say leading up to a fight, that are in left field and then they don't comment on their own buffoonery after they are embarrassed. Because then egg on his face if it happens. As Loma says, 'It's boxing, anything can happen.'
Mikey Garcia said he was a little better in everything than Spence. This is the type of hyperbole that Loma won't engage in. You watch what Loma says leading into this fight. Eastern European get to work mentality and prove it mentality compared to Western Flap in the Media, "I'm the GOAT and best ever. I'm going to knock the **** out of him", nonsense. Prove it in the ring. Let the public say if you're the GOAT. If you have to say it yourself, it looks weak.
Loma in fact thought Commey would beat Teofimo but he hoped going into the fight that Teofimo wins so they can fight. He had high respect for Commey. This article is saying the opposite. That Loma implied he has no respect for Commey as a conquest.
And Idec says this: "When asked if he thinks he can pick apart Lopez due to his ring IQ, unusual athleticism and skill, Lomachenko replied, “Yes, I understand, and I will be prepared for this fight.”
That was not in any of the recorded interviews that I could find. Idec is most likely making up more ****.Last edited by TarasMarcenko; 12-16-2019, 04:24 PM.

Loma's going to unify the belts and then fight and defeat Davis.. Then if Haney is still around and the fight makes sense, he'll definitely fight him.Last edited by Lomadeaux; 12-16-2019, 03:47 PM.

He isn't going to unify the belts because he vacated the WBC title rather than defend against Haney the mando.
What do you mean if the fight makes sense? Loma gave up the title rather than fight Haney. If he never fights him that would be a problem.
