    Unorthodox vs. Orthodox styles

I feel that recently, Deontay Wilder’s defeat of Ortiz in the rematch, and Lopez beating up Commey, a well-rounded boxer, shows that athleticism and power with unorthodox methods and deliveries seems to have surpassed the effectiveness of old style boxing methods and tactics, such as are taught in the amateurs. Could it be that we are seeing an era emerge where boxing is lead by athletic street fighters and powerful tall guys with good leverage and the ability to capitalize on difficult angles to defend punches due to their height and reach?

I’d like to know what you think. But I feel we may be seeing a changing of the guard here.

No way. Imagine someone with Wilders power that could actually box. There's always been fighters where power alone carried them a long way.

      You Box a Fighter
      You fight a Boxer

Power is one of the major factors yes

But in the era of wack heavies with no skill and no will a Wilder fool looks like the real deal
