Just thank our lucky stars he didn’t stay at WW, and ink a deal with PBC.
No details even alluding to what weight class he’s going to return to?
At least that would‘be given us some clues as to who his next opponent might be.
I think he’s best off at 130-135, but who knows?
Be interesting to see if the loss to Spence affected him at all.

I think his days at 130 135 are over for him.
140 would be his lowest I think now.

I was surprised by this news. There was no indication that his contract with PBC had expired. Or was it an early release?

Garcia, under the PBC banner, has the flexibility to move to different promotional companies to secure the best financial incentive for himself and family because he's not tied down to contract. Meanwhile, Crawford is beholden to Top Rank not just for the rest of his career but even afterwards and can't maneuver to secure whats best financially for his family. Andrade was lied to by DAZN about getting the most lucrative fights and he's been fighting nobodies in front of no bodies and cant get out of contract to secure a big fight with Jermall on FOX. Jacobs is fighting a PED cheat in Arizona. That's Phoenix, Arizona. Really! While over at Golden Girl, Canelo is getting f'kd by his promoter (who coincidentally likes to get f'kd by **********s) and looks like he's desperately trying to get out of his deal. So I guess all the PBC haters are right, AL HAYMON IS BAD FOR BOXING! HAHA! You guys are weird! I'm glad Mikey can go get max money ON DAZN to go fight Josh Taylor (for the belts), then go to ESPN for max money to fight Ramirez (for the belts) and then go back to PBC to hit the powerball with a PAC fight. Genius if you ask me. At the end of the day, the best thing for AMERICAN boxing would be for Golden boy to sign a pact with Showtime and let Stephen Espinoza do for Canelo what he did for Mayweather, with PPV>. Andrade, Jacobs, Tevin, Micheal hunter, etc. needs to go to the PBC, and Al and Bob should sit down in a room to hammer out a deal to make all fights all the time. M.B.G.A.

              PBC are not promoters

              Top Rank are

That’s the difference. Mikey isn’t under a promotional contract with anyone

                What contract?

Haymon is an advisor, not a promoter. He may have some contract with him as his advisor, but that doesn’t mean you can’t sign with a promoter and as an advisor, I’d imagine it means you have no legal hold to dictate who promotes a fighters fight and not allow them to go anywhere

Jacobs went with Hearn when Haymon was still his advisor.

If you’re signed to a promoter then it’s a different story

Mikey is only fighting at 147 because he wants to face old arse Pacquiao fight down the road. He will probably win a razor close decision vs Jessie Vargas. What a shame. Just chasing the money instead of really good, meaningful fights at his real weight. He looks terrible at 147 and seems to be afraid of getting schooled/beaten by top guys at his own weight, like Prograis, Taylor, Ramirez or even Loma.

Mikey Garcia is not under contract with PBC. He and his team have stated many times that they never had a contract and were working on fight by fight basis with PBC. Sounds like he has signed a 1 fight deal with DAZN with option for future fight. Pacquiao has 1 fight left on his PBC deal and then he's a free agent DAZN is reportedly trying to land a Mikey Garcia Pacquaio fight later this year. Garcia also has options at 140 at DAZN with Josh Taylor who just won the WBSS.

I'll say he beats Prograis but loses to Taylor.
