I didn't watch the fight, but from the GIF only I would be fine with it being called a knockdown.

It doesn't look to me like Kav is holding or throwing him, at least not deliberately. He's trying to punch Crawford's body, while Crawford is trying to hold onto him. Any tugging on his arm that happened in there is at least partly Crawford's fault, and anyway doesn't look like the main reason he went down which was still the first punch.

The only thing Kav got away with there is a punch to the body once Crawford was already down, but it would be a bit nitpicky for a ref to call that out.

Yall are pathetic. Kavaliuskas is far from a bum, Crawford won via a KO. Yet only thing that's talked about is a potential KD. Crawford got caught.

I was confused reading through the first few comments because I thought the title was sarcasm. I didn't watch the fight but that gif clearly shows a knockdown.

I didn't think it was a knockdown. Looks like the guy hooked Crawford's body (trying to throw a punch but hooked him kinda under the right arm) pushing him to the left, and at the same time watch Crawford's left foot. He toes the canvas but when he is hooked/pushed, it causes him to suddenly toe the canvas again. The misstep seems to be what sent him over.

Yeah I wouldn't argue profusely with anyone that wanted to call it a KD but it wasn't for me. It's a subjective call but I like it to be clear that the force of a punch caused the fighter to lose their footing/balance and hit the canvas.

The guy clearly stunned Crawford and followed up with a left but then missed several punches and the action that led Crawford's knee to hit the ground was clearly a shove (unintentional as it looked he was trying to throw punches but got tangled up) in my view. So no KD for me.

Kava a bad dude did himself proud, but Bud always does the business by the end.

You never see a fight before?
