Well actually quite a few people thought it might happen - Commey's defence has always been leaky, and knowing Lopez could **** hard and fast, especially early, the bookies had him favourite for a reason.

Difference Commey to Loma is moving rom a leaky defence to a defence that's one of the best in the business. It was always on the cards that he would catch Commey with something heavy early on as Commey isn't tight defensively (remember Easter catching him flush and buckling his knees, and Easter doesn't hit like Lopez) - its possible Lopez could catch Loma with something big, but far less likely.

Remember that Rigo couldn't land anything on Loma, and that's nothing to do with size, he just couldn't hit him, so if Rigo couldn't do it, question becomes whether Lopez can do what Rigo couldn't.

Remember what Loma does - he moves so that the opponent is rarely able to sit down on their punches as they have to keep adjusting their feet - Lopez' power comes from being able to sit down on his punches like he did with Commey. But its boxing, anything can happen.

Still trying to figure out how this Lopez\Loma fight will crown the winner undisputed champion in the division(according to this apparently hastily written article). Wouldn't one of them need to posses the ACTUAL WBC lightweight belt? Surely they can't be considering that BULLS--T franchise belt as such, right? Are we all gonna just say "f--k it" and pretend it's for undisputed?

      I need answers....

Well I stand corrected then but what I meant was did anyone see Lopez blasting him out in 2 rounds?

Well said and I agree with your analysis on the loma fight as far as the commey fight I just didn’t see a lot of people on this board of the last couple days saying Lopez was going to wipe them out it was lotta mixed feelings and some questions. I did not see Lopez taken him out in 4 1/2 minutes.

I think alot of people probably thought like I did; Lopez is the better fighter on paper but he raised some eyebrows with his comments and demeanor during and after the Nakatani fight. It made me wonder if he was right mentally to be in a gruelling fight. I still wonder that actually.

He fought Nakatani who was aggressive and tough as nails. Nakatani didn't have much pop and he wasn't the most skilled. I had that a close fight that Teo edged. ESPN and Teo can say he didn't look good because of all the distractions but I think it was because he lost confidence when Nakatani was still coming for him after eating his best shots. Then he said "no more tall guys" comment. I think Lopez is very skilled and has great power and reflexes. I just wonder if he's a front runner; when the opponent is still standing and coming for him after eating his best shots does he begin to fold a little. He wouldn't be the first fighter with some of that mentality.

Lopez could very well catch Loma and clip him. He has the speed, fast twitch reflex and power to do it. I could also see him getting frustrated if hes missing and getting hit in kind and ultimately wilting when he faces adversity.

                The bold: Not a lot.

Most were telling us how the great Commey was gonna wipe out Lopez. I called Commey a C fighter, close to a bum. I bet points and gave 5 to 1 odds. I won!

Commey wasn't and isn't a bum. Is Robert Easter Jr a bum too? Because Commey went life and death with him and Easter is one of Mikey Garcia's best wins.
