Unless you count Haney, a dude who got handed a belt.
Tony, you're not being fair here. Haney won the eliminator and earned the mandatory title shot. Loma went to the WBC and asked to be designated emeritus champion knowing this would mean he'd have to surrender the WBC belt. He also knew this meant he wouldn't have to fight Haney.

Haney definitely won the title in the boardroom and not the ring, but you shouldn't hold that against him. The criticism should be directed at the fighter that avoided fighting him and gave him the title Rid**** Bowe style.

      Because he ain't worthy.

Loma is fighting the best and going to unify the division.

Has Haney even fought a World Champ as yet.

Upgraded to the Franchise Champ, for elite champions.

Upgraded at his own request. The designation isn't for elite champions, its for powerful promoters whose champions could face high risk, low reward opponents with attributes that the champion has difficulty with.

Loma stating his plan in 2020 is to fight Lopez then make a fight with Davis proves his intention was never unification. It also shows he is not keen on fighting Haney at all.

You can't credibly argue Loma only wants elite opposition like you keep doing because Davis hasn't fought anyone at 135. If he beats Gamboa as expected, that will be his only win at 135. Haney, a true 135lber and not a FW moving up, would pose much more risk.

I will just look forward to the Loma/Lopez fight. Hopefully it is good. Loma should be well rested and ready to go.

Can't wait for this arrogant midget to get his a$$ whooped. He's been believing the bulls--t hype that ESPN had been pedalling about him for years.

So you calling surrendering a belt upgrading?

The best 3 in any weight class, who will prevail is the? I will pick Gervonta all day if he showed the discipline as the others but when I look at his weight fluctuations I have to question this! Lomo has the least power of the 3 but probably the hardest worker and most experienced of all. Lopez has the best combination of goods, mentally, power, ability so very balanced.

                      I’m just saying!

How can you say that when Davis won’t fight anyone with a pulse? He has all the gifts but has it all still to prove
