He's right. The Pac fight is a career defining moment for his legacy. If he wins, then Manny Pacquiao would look a lot better on his resume than a win against a fight with Bud Crawford.

Code words for Crawford maybe too skilled vs. my bum-rushing style and I might take a beating like Diaz and Horn

I agree with everything that you've just mentioned is true. However, aside from the obvious; Manny Pacquiao has become an iconic figure in the sport of boxing. He is a legend. Twenty years from now which name would look better on Shawn Porter's legacy and resume; A fight with Terence Crawford or a fight with Manny Pacquiao?

I don't think Porter will be next up for Pacquiao; much more likely to be one or other of Garcia's.

Since Porter is ducking, where are Garcia and Thurman at?

The more i think about Porter v Pacquiao the better the fight sounds. These 2 will meet head on in the middle of the ring, these guys dont take a backward step unless they have no choice but to. Prime Pacquaio destroys him but this aging version sort of balances the fight out a little bit for me. I think its a really interesting fight.

I would like to see some of these PBC Welters looking to fight Crawford but they just dont want to. They all ducking him, squeezing every last ounce of worth out of these inhouse fights but the man of the division is waiting, he is ultimately the man they all need to try get through if any of them want to be considered the best. They all want credit that you can only get from beating Bud Crawford so they can avoid him all they want but they will never be seen as the divisions number 1 until they beat who most people see as the divisions number 1.

Also crawford would absolutely run a clinic on porter.
It is the more defining fight though. A win over Pacquiao, even now, is worth more than one over Crawford.

To turn this into a story that Arum and Crawford thought Packy was a threat is a joke.
Seems that you easily believe in lies. Arum is only interested in money not any boxer’s health. Arum believed Crawford is not yet ready for Pacquiao at that time.

Arum did not like his next cash cow (which he mistakenly believed. Sad to say, Crawford at this time is a far cry of being a cash cow) be destroyed by the Great Pacquiao.

Wasn’t it a split decision or something ?

Regardless, never count Porter out. I thought he’d get dominated by Thurman and Spence. He gave both hell.

Terrance is a great fighter, but I don’t think he’s head and shoulders above the best fighters that Porter has faced.
