  • Comments Thread For: Terence Crawford Claps Back at Critics: They Look ******!

Terrence Crawford's dossier says he's an undefeated, three-division crownholder who was once the unified, undisputed champion at 140, but his list of opponents are by no means heralded as a murderer's row of foes. The WBO welterweight champion Crawford (35-0, 26 KOs), who fights Egidijus Kavaliauskas (21-0-1, 17 KOs) at the Madison Square Garden in New York, is unbothered that he'll be fighting what many consider another soft touch Saturday on ESPN.

Damn he still has 6 fights left on his deal with Top Rank. That’ll bring him into sometime in 2022 when he’s 35. He can’t wait anywhere near that long to get any big name fights. He might actually have to move up in weight if he don’t get Porter next.

The people that keep saying he has done thing at 147, are the same ones who doesn’t want his rival to fight him. Am mean the guy is the best P4P fighter out there and you would think others would be chasing him. But they would rather try and freeze him out, try to not recognise his belt and just hope he moves up.

I mean you have Mike Coppinger who is supposedly meant to be a respected journalist asking who has he fought!!! That in itself is why boxing is dying in America.

It’s ok for all these network fangirls to as those questions when they know he is being frozen out but for a journalist to take sides? Wow

With Top Rank he’s always guaranteed million dollar paydays plus he’ll be fed tomato cans and cab drivers.

Timothy Bradley pulled that shít when he elected to duck all the guy at 140 for a shot at Pacquiao which led to a trilogy. It guaranteed him millions and his exact words when called out by Max Kellerman were, “all I care about is looking at my bank account and seeing so many zeros that I didn’t have before Pacquiao. I don’t care what the critics say as long as my family is taken care of”.

America is about making money so Can’t really fault the guy

In some cases, I have seen people play both sides of the fence. You're right.

However, here's the fact of the matter: Crawford resigned with Top Rank knowing it wasn't guaranteed he would get fights with any of the PBC fighters and/or it would be extremely difficult to do so. Long gone are the days of trying to manipulate the general boxing public to guilt PBC fighters into fighting him. Long gone are the days of Arum speaking down on PBC fighters and Haymon all while turning coat and practically begging for a fight to manifest. I personally don't like PBC fighters freezing him out because it robs the fans of seeing great fights and great matchups.

Bottom line: Crawford is going to have to take a long look in the mirror, take accountability, and ask himself if he's willing to spiral into irrelevancy (as it pertains to 147) while being strung along by Top Rank, or is he going to find a way to get these fights his career badly needs by any means necessary.

I really hate to see such a talent of his go to waste due to him failing to get ANY of the fights the future of his career depends on.

              6 fights...?!

Oh his career is over then.

              6 more wit Top Rank?!

              It's a wrap.

6 fights? Oh no thats 6 more chances for PBC fighters to find just lame excuses to duck him instead of really lame excuses.
