Do you seriously think that it made any sense whatsoever, financially or otherwise, to fight Alex MF'n Leapai over Shannon Briggs?
he was mandatory. briggs hadn't been relevant in 7 years at that point. leapai was coming off a win over overhyped boystov but still at least he had a notable win. briggs...no. it was a joke that briggs had gotten a shot at vitali 4 years prior. do we need 2 jokes?

Wlad has taken on tougher opponents than Briggs. Briggs was taking steroids to compete against unranked vacuum cleaner salesmen. His antics got him a fanbase and they've gassed his head up.

Ok bro. If you really rate that version of Pulev and Leapai, after beating a straight up C+ Lamon Brewster, over Shannon Briggs, do your thing.

He wants the top guys? Why not just Hogan-level opponents just like prime young Charlo? You're old brah.

Think Ruiz wouldn't beat Wilder? Dream on. He was worthy of the titles, more than good enough. You can call him fat as much as you want, he wasn't the first fat HW champ, and won't be the last.

              Don't be so ****** Larry.

              Joshua:

Olympic gold, top 10 wins over Whyte, Martin, Klitschko, Parker, Povetkin, Ruiz Jr.

              Wilder:

              Olympic Bronze, Stiverne & Ortiz.

              There's no comparison.

I think Wilder is maybe N. 6 in division, to be honest.

Fury, Joshua, Whyte, Ruiz, Usyk...I guess they could all beat Wilder.

If Klitschko returns, that makes Wilder N. 7.

The ''last minute replacement'' speech would be a mark against AJ if Andy was semi retired or on vacation. He didn't sustain any injuries in his previous fight and had almost 2 full months to train.

If Wlad comes back it will be an exhibition match for charity.

Seems like a pretty bad for him to come back at this point.
