How about Tyson's prime, I agree on DK, Lennox Lewis as HWC and corrupt judges. What happned to back in the day Refs use to judge the fight as well, I think we should go back to that, for the simple fact the have the best view.

I agree about the Don King thing. Boxing doesn't need crooked people. I think Tyson getting KTFO by Douglas was bad. Everyone was gonna know who Tyson was but then he got KTFO. Then again, many know who Tyson is due to other reasons...Comment

Originally posted by charlie31i dont think he was exposed as much as he was just not surrounded around the right people anymore..any great fighter can get lose bad when he isnt training or living the right lifestyle anymore. had he remained with those who guided him to where he was he may have had a much longer reign on top of the heavyweight division IMOComment

Originally posted by amagninOh you are definitely right. Tyson is clearly a head case so something that is seemingly harmless like changing cornermen can be devastating to him. Tyson was definitely cut short, but I don't think that any trainer would have got him to beat Holyfield. Holyfield embodies the kind of fighter that Tyson couldn't beat. Tyson couldn't KO him and Holyfield was going to fight back for 12 rounds not just survive for 12. I was a huge Tyson fan at this point and I thought he was going to steamroll Holyfield (I was like 14 and foolish). But that was the day I started having tremendous respect for Holyfield. He straight up manhandled Mike Tyson. And in that sense, Tyson would have been exposed eventually no matter what.Comment

i think AFTER mike tyson "retired" was a hefty hit to boxingComment

Originally posted by charlie31yeah but this was after his stint in jail. dont get me wrong Holyfield wasnt scared of Mike one bit and that played a big factor in all of Mike's fights but i feel he was just a shadow of himself before he changed camps and then went to prison. Holy probably has more heart then any fighter Tyson ever faced.Comment

Originally posted by amagninYeah that would be a dream fight. Tyson v. Holyfield in their respective primes with Kevin Rooney in Tyson's corner. What do you think happens in that fight?Comment
