                ORtiz really sharp tonight, Solomon been inconsistent in his career but that was still a good performance from Ortiz to break down that style

                  Vergil Ortiz emphatically closed out the 2019 Prospect of the Year race. The 21-year old welterweight delivered his most complete performance to date, dropping Brad Solomon three times en route to a 5th round stoppage Friday evening at Fantasy Springs Casino in Indio, California. Ortiz floored Solomon in round four and twice in the ensuing frame, the final of which forced a stoppage at 2:22 of round five.
