Javier Fortuna officially has his marching orders for his next title fight. The former two-division titlists from Dominican Republic has been ordered by the World Boxing Council (WBC) to begin negotiations for a vacant lightweight title fight versus England's Luke Campbell. The two sides will have until January 3, 2020 to come to terms, or else the bout will be subject to a purse bid hearing.

That would not be possible simply because the organizations do not allow unifications with the WBA ''Regular'' belt. Tank would not be the real WBA champion, just the ''regular'' beltholder, so not the real world title & therefore unable to unify. To unify the WBC & WBA belts, the WBC titlist would need to face the real WBA World Champion which is Lomachenko.

Naoya Inuoe was unified IBF and WBA (Regular) champion until he beat Donaire. There's no rule saying that you can't unify a Regular belt with another belt.

Naoya Inoue strengthened his grip on the bantamweight division with a crushing two-round victory over Emmanuel Rodriguez in their world title unification fight Saturday.

The Japanese boxer, known as "The Monster" and No. 7 in ESPN's pound-for-pound rankings, floored the Puerto Rican Rodriguez three times on his way to winning the World Boxing Super Series semifinal.

Inoue (18-0, 16 KOs), 26, made a second defense of the WBA world bantamweight title while capturing the IBF belt from Rodriguez, who was making a second defense at the SSE Hydro.
