Despite all this, no one hates you, Andy. People are just no longer your fans. Most folks have moved on. You will become another gatekeeper unless you take boxing and yourself seriously. The choice is simple: get serious or get out.
Very well put. I believe he achieved his ultimate goal of being the first Mexican HW champion in the sport and afterwards lost his motivation because Andy didn't set any new goals for himself and became complacent. You're right he doesn't have any haters he basically let himself and his family and team down. Only person Andy Ruiz can blame is himself.

No one is hating on Andy, he went out there and embarrassed himself and everyone who believed in him.

There is a big difference between hating someone and being very disappointed in someone, because of selfishness.Andy.

however few fans Ruiz jr. still had is dwindling to a minuscule amount with ****** comments like this. People believed that Ruiz jr would be fully committed to the biggest boxing event in years, only to be disappointed when his lazy ass comes in obese and ill prepared. People have every right to be angry at the huge let down, this is not unwarranted "hate".

He can say all the right things but if he couldn’t get in shape for the biggest fight of his life, he isn’t going to do it for lesser fights.

He can say it now, but when it comes to training and not eating pizzas all day, he’ll choose the food. Always has and always will.

I still believe in Ruiz, he’s got the best chin and better skills than 90% of the top fighters. However under that fat, he’s a rather small hw for this era, he’s going to have to work to overcome that.

Andy should just get away to train somewhere for about 3-4 months. Then start talking about proving folks wrong.
Fair post. I'm very interested to see what Ruiz does in the future. Despite the clear lack of motivation to train properly, he is a dangerous and skilled fighter. If he can train properly, can still have a good career. But he needs to knuckle down and make it happen.
