Arum is talking out of his ass as usual. I agree that he'd put guys like Bud and Loma in with others but that's because they're pound4pound and will be favored. What about all the other guys that he wont let fight without having crazy options on them????

Porter fights a lot like Jeff Horn, there is nothing special about his style which Crawfish is familiar with and is easily countered. Anyone who thinks that Porter has a chance, well, how, I'd like to know.

Shawn Porter caught off-guard by Bob Arum's apparent opinion change

Former two-time welterweight titleholder Shawn Porter says he is trying to understand why Top Rank promoter Bob Arum now considers him a potential fight option for Terence Crawford following previous comments that Porter wasn't a very good boxer.

"Within the last year, Bob has said I'm not a good boxer and has said that Errol Spence Jr. would be a much better, competitive and entertaining fight [for Crawford] than I could give," Porter told ESPN. "And now he has reneged on those previous statements and has declared me the best fighter PBC has...

"What I want to know is what has changed. And if Crawford and Porter fight, it won't be because of Bob Arum and PBC. And if Crawford and Porter don't fight, it won't be because of Bob Arum nor PBC," said Porter, who is aligned with Premier Boxing Champions...

"I'm sure Terence and I will speak after his fight,'' said Porter, who currently has no fight scheduled. "My list of opposition is short. Not looking anywhere else until Spence says he isn't fighting me..."

Who would Top Rank have to send over to PBC for Haymon to agree to this fight? Everybody besides Loma, Fury, and Crawford are expendable. That would leave Ramirez, Stevenson, Lopez, Zurdo, Beterbiev, Berchelt and Inoue as potential options.

There's no chance in Hell this fight happens unless Shawn Porter becomes Terence Crawford's mandatory challenger for his WBO title. Bob Arum is going to run through the same roadblocks he did in trying to get the Erroll Spence/Terence Crawford made. Also, mind you that both Porter and Spence are promoted by the same promotional company; The PBC which was founded by Al Haymon.
