Part 2, the conclusion
PART TWO........ So she is coming towards you and you see it is NOT who you thought it was. There are several guys out in front of your house that you would assume are figuring out a way in... you instinctively move out of the way and let this person who you now know to be a total stranger run by you and down the stairs towards what you assume is the side door out into the yard... you run to the front door and yell out through it "She went out the side" because you just want these guys to leave. You will call the police and hopefully they will rush to the scene and get this woman and these guys. You hear a lot of noise down in your den, though, and it quickly occurs to you that the woman has not found her way through the darkness and out of the house but instead of that she is rummaging around your den, knocking stuff over as she does who knows what down there. You rush down the stairs and into even thicker darkness and head straight to where you think the light switch is. You fumble with it badly, though, in your still dazed state... trying again and again to get the dimmer switch on while you hear her in the background mumbling something as she tries to free herself from the web of tables and chairs she apparently has herself caught in. Is she crazy? Is she coming over to stab me? Maybe she has a gun? Finally you get the light on and quickly turn around to see this wild eyed female coming from around a table at the other end of the room as she grabs a picture frame off the wall that you assume she is going to try and hit you with once she gets close enough. You don't remember exactly what you say to her but it is something along the lines of "Dont get ****** or I'm gonna' have to clip you." Just as you are thinking that, though, another dilemma pops up for you to deal with as you hear the men from outside barge their way into the house and rush in as they yell something that you are too discombobulated to even comprehend. So here they come, you know they are coming down the stairs and in less than ten seconds you know this whole crazy situation is about to reach its conclusion. It is going down right here and now whether you are ready for it or not!! She is about three feet away from you at this point and you are still considering dropping her with a shot when all of a sudden you heard the words that change the whole situation in an instant......
................ >>>>
"We're in!!! We're in the house. Windsor Police, we're in the house!!"
Those words immediately throw a wave of relief over you and you instantly get that feeling you get when you realize that things aren't quite bad as you thought they were just moments earlier. A certain amount of relief washes over you and at the moment when the woman reaches arms length, instead of reacting violently, you grab her right arm with your left hand and spin her like a top towards the stairs and when her back is to you you give her a two handed push towards the uniformed officers that have by now headed down the stairs. They grab her and even though she puts up a good fight they quickly manage to get her under control and whisk her out into your driveway where they hold her down until an ambulance comes to take her away.
This is a true story and I know for sure it is because it happened to me just a few weeks ago on the night of Spinks-Karmazin. Apparently the woman was given some drugs by some guys, I'm told it was ecstasy, and she had a bad reaction to it that caused her to run away and attempt to enter houses in my neighborhood only to keep running into locked doors. My door wasn't locked because I was planning on leaving right after the Spinks-Karmazin fight was over and when the police came to answer the several 911 calls from my neighbors they found her in a daze sitting on my front porch. When the officers approached her I guess she got so shook up that she turned and ran to the best looking escape route which also happened to be my front door that was located right behind her.
Epilogue: The woman may have been in a bad way, incoherent etc. but she did have a good sense of timing, I will give her that. Because if she didn't burst into the house when she did I would not have woken up during the ninth round of the Spinks-Karmazin fight and I would have missed the last couple rounds when Spinks was fatigued so badly and spent the 12th and final round running away instead of closing the show on a very close fight. With this crazy lady still out in my driveway being watched over by three police cars with lights flashing waiting for an ambulance to arrive I was inside my house thinking one thing and one thing only: "If Jose (Rivera) was in there right now Spinks would be in biiiiiiiiiiiiiig trouble!!" LOL
