Plenty of dudes hold titles and we don't even know who TF they are. Ortiz could have obtained a title at 140 if he wanted to but he just didn't stick around...

      Nice, sounds like a plan

They are moving Vergil fast but he looks like the real deal.

Dude isn't even ready for someone Danny Garcia yet he's getting ahead of himself there...
I love that fight. I'd probably lean towars Ennis tbh. Ortiz is good but he's a boxer/puncher but relies on accumulation. I could see Boots boxing and moving all night vs Ortiz. The question would be if Ortiz can catch him, hurt him, then finish him off.

I agree.. but I dont want him to turn into another Vargas. Ortiz jr is still way too hittable imo.. hopefully guys like Spence and Bud will have moved up.. then his chances to win a title at WW significantly increase.

Don't put Shawn Porter on any "easy work" list. He gives everyone hell in the ring that he faces. Everyone!

Hittable? Did you watch the fight Solomon landed just 11 total punches through 3 rounds and finished landing just 20 punches for the entire fight. He is way more skilled technically then Vargas. Vergil was a elite amateur had almost 200 amateur fights and is extremely skilled and fundamentally sound defensively.

Here is a great stat to show how fundamentally sound defensively Vergil is. Against Orzoco a pressure high landing punch rate fighter who lands a lot on everybody but against him Orizco landed only 57 out of 323 total punches landed just 18% in total punches and was knocked out in 6 rounds winning maybe just 1 round. Right before that fight Orzoco fought unified and on alot of people's top 10 P4P list jose Ramirez. Orzoco landed 263 total punches of 782 thrown at a 34% rate over 12 rounds gave Ramirez one of the toughest fights of his career. If Ortiz is hittable then what the phuk would you call a elite fighter like Ramirez? LMAO

orozco and solomon are nothing compared to the elite of the welterweight division. if he moves up now he gets eaten alive he wants these guys next year? big mistake! ortiz wouldn't even be competitive against danny who is by far the weakest out the top welters ortiz himself said he's not ready for crawford yet!
