I really like Ortiz, but I think there were some moments vs Orozco that showed he still has some things he can improve on before the bigger guys. He did quite a bit of amateurish pushing when the action got too close and he probably should have been warned by the ref (he might have been, i don't remember right now). In those moments, he really had no other way to create space other than to blatantly push off.... That was a jump in competition for him for sure, and eventually he figured things out and finally got to Orozco but it's just something that I noticed and I'll be paying more attention to how his inside game comes along..i'm def questioning it right now.
Solomon has been inconsistent in his career, but good style to see Ortiz against...may cause some issues
If he wins, then I would like Ortiz to fight fellow Golden Boy undefeated prospect Rashidi Ellis in 2020 as their first 'big fight'Last edited by LA_2_Vegas; 12-11-2019, 11:08 PM.

Those are the only fights that he had Knockouts in,, Rios is a punching bag and granados is a 140 pounder
Right now Danny destroys his young budding career.
The kid has not fought anyone worth a damn in the WW division yet.
We still do not know how he behaves under fire in a long drawn out fight.
Danny has been there done that and is still young.

I really like Ortiz jr. but people are WAY over rating him here.
He's still a level below the Ugas, Thurman and Garcia's of the World. 2 levels below Bud and Spence.
Right now he's a little better then Dulorme, probably around Figuero Jr or Sammy Vasquez jr, maybe a touch better.
Like where he's heading tho..

We tried to let Spence Thurman marinate.. Thurman lost
We tried to let Wilder Joshua marinate. Joshua lost

Don't get me wrong, I think they make for a nice match-up, one that I would certainly want to see, but, its just smarter match-making for those guys to go after bigger but less dangerous names instead of trying to derail each other this early for no money or title.
If anything Ennis is the 1 that might need a little more promotion but he's not likely to get it given who he's signed with..
I don't see either guy being a major star. Both are good boxers but lack the personality and a fan base. Ortiz seems to have more potential to be a star but Ennis appears to have better skills. A fight between them is just what is needed for a star to be born and situations like this don't need no seasoning.

If anything the Corrales performance officially put him on the map. Ortiz is just about at the same point Floyd was minus a title.
