whats great about the contender is how it encapsulates the whole perception of a boxers life, in victory, and losing, and the road to each. i ****in love the show personally and never miss an episode.

I had never seen seen this show before this season and became a fan of it when K-9, the big kid no one wanted on their team, refused to rollover like he was supposed to and beat the **** out of the mouthy fighter who thought K-9 was a bum. THAT was a true Rocky moment. Even Sugar Ray Leonard felt that Carter was the best fighter in the tourney.
