No he didn't. It was an excuse. He knew he was in trouble (didn't really train, wasn't in shape), but thought maybe he could use his weight for leverage...which is silly. Everyone knew AJ would box and use his natural gifts of advantage.... And for a guy like Andy to actually say he thought his increased weight would serve as a possible advantage is lying.
He thought he could "Wilder" AJ (catch him with a bomb) and put him out again. Awful.
