I think people are making far too much over the weight. It's literally 5% more than he weighed last time and he was just as fast. I really dislike Ruiz attributing this for his loss, I'm sure he trained the exact same way he did in the prior fight too. If anything, he actually looked tighter around the stomach in fight 2, his shoulders and neck looked more defined.

Take your damn loss and stop crying. This is almost as bad as Haye saying he broke his toe or Wilder saying he broke his arm. What is it with these dudes, have some control over your egos and admit you came up shorter than you would have liked on the night.

      Naw he was FAT.

      PERIOD

      I was embarrassed for him.

See unlike Joshua, Wilder, and Fury no one cares enough for Ruiz to demand a rematch.

He BLEW his one chance. He WILL NEVER get another title fight. He is high risk NO REWARD!

You lose it’s an EMBARRASSMENT and he becomes the Mexican ROCKY. The ultimate underdog made good but you win you just beat up a fat short guy.

There is no positive to fight him.

It’s a LOSE /LOSE fight for NO MONEY!!!

      He’s DONE.

HE WASTED HIS ONE SHOT ON ALCOHOL, PARTYING, BYTCHES AND SNICKERS

      HE WILL REGRET THAT FOREVER

Ruiz is potentially dangerous regardless of his weight ( within reason ), but I couldn’t help but wonder had he come in at 240 if he might have been a bit sharper.

I’m not sure how much is attributable to the fight being mostly uneventful- was AJ just too mobile or was Ruiz not to press harder and throw more.

I admire Ruiz’s skills, but have heard different reports stating that he isn’t completely focused on boxing which is a

          Green K sent!...

          ... Of course, man!...

... Ruiz wasn't much different the first time around... It was Joshua the one who looked like a bad joke...

... before the rematch, all these cohorts of "connaisseurs" and "boxing pundits" acted more than tolerant and distracted as regarding Ruiz's overall condition and/or work ethic... but now that he lost, all of them act like concerned parents: "he should have drank his milk, he should have done his homework" a.s.o...

In short, Ruiz ate PBC's undisputed Cinco de mayo plans. How beauuutiful (in Hearn's voice cuz I know u love him) is that. Love it!
btw, this crook should rather make sure he reinstates Whyte as WBC mandatory, or else...

Getting a lot of stick and deservedly so.

At the end of the day , this is boxing and all it takes is just one good win to be relevant again.
Whether he will be forgiven for this unprofessionalism is another thing.

He now has some notoriety where he is a factor in the HW division with these two fights with AJ.

He can come back IF he can commit himself. And you and I will watch with interest no matter what.

I know i want to see him again.

In this game you are only as good as your last fight. Joshua deservedly got stick after June 01st, but went back to the drawing board and improved for the rematch. Ruiz could do similar, but has to have the desire to train. He deserves any stick he gets for now regarding a lack of professionalism. Wilder's last fight he lost evey moment of every round before catching lightning in a bottle midway through the 7th, but something similar seems to happen every time. Fury's last he was well below par, but ground out a win through blood soaked vision, so props for the heart.

I fully agree with Sulaiman, that Ruiz was grossly out of shape, more than usual. I also have to say that the WBC's made up franchise title is complete nonsense.
