if a boxer openly admits he did not train (like ruiz) should his purse be withheld?

And I dont really understand how you could police this either like I also mentioned. There are already punishments in fines & suspensions for coming in over weight in divisions with weight limits. Being that HW doesnt have a limit idk how you do much there unless you create a weight limit which I am actually for. I think boxing should have the same 265lb limit that MMA does. But w/o a limit what would we be punishing people for at HW? Saying the magic words of "I didnt train"? Wouldnt guys just quit saying those magic words if thats how it worked? Do you give HWs a goal weight range for a fight even if we dont have an official weight limit & if you come in over you get punished? I just dont see how this would work that makes much sense & would be productive to the end of getting guys to take training seriously.
Never said it was an easy task
But the odds started to change when Ruiz came in totally overweight
So if the bookies or books know when to change that line , it’s pretty logical to me that we need to find some fughin system
You know better than I do that the sharks are their for one reason , to make coin especially now that it’s legal

Thats my question... Did he tell his family members and friends in the city to not bet half their life savings on him cuz he knew he was too comfortable to take training camp serious???

If not he a real POS....
Sounds like his dad knew what was up so that trickled down to the rest of his family Id assume. Apparently one of the guys he was fooking off with was a homie so he knew the play too.

I do know Robles was hyping another KO7 result like it was some biblical sh^t on some podcast I heard him on so that seems kinda effed now in retrospect in a way cuz obviously he had inside info on Andy fooking off.

I kinda just think hes a lazy mfer with hands. If you look back on his career hes had several instances of saying exactly what he said post-fight Saturday. "I didnt really take my training seriously". "I need to lose some weight". "I'll be in better shape next time". Etc & so on with all this "Im sorry mom can I not be grounded now" sounding bs.

So I think this is more of a case of Andy reverting to the guy hes been & likely will always be more than the fame & money influenced him suddenly to be a lazy mfer.

The money & fame was just a new outlet for being a lazy mfer. Before it was probably cuz of the lack of money he was getting & the lack of big fights.

Well the betting stuff is in its own lil bubble Id argue. And Im sure the bookies know better than most bettors how important the weigh in can be particularly for a HW fight so that is what it is. Idk that boxing can or should try to be worried about all that stuff. And I doubt the bookies gaf cuz they are making bank either way cuz most bettors are losers at the sportsbook.

For the integrity of the sport I like the concept of punishing guys who dont take the sport seriously but idk a reasonable & logical way that you could do that in a case like with a future Andy type guy.
