he aint stopping Baldi...Baldi was hit flush several times by Gatti and smiled...Floyd may hit him alot more but not enough to stop him. This will be the toughest opponent Floyd has faced. Not the best or hardest puncher but definitley the toughest.

Not really, it will probably be one of Floyd's easiest fights. Floyd is going to embarrass and humiliate Baldy.

in order to beat the man you have to be allowed to fight the man, and in these times it's not that easy to get a shot at the man even if your qualified to fight him. So who's to say Baldomir is the man? He could just be a guy who lucked into that position. Baldomir was either a mandatory or just a guy who Zab thought he could beat before he fought mayweather.

There are hundreds of guys in the welterweight division. Does that mean Baldomir can't be called the man until he beats them all since "in order to beat the man you have to be allowed to fight the man." So where do you draw the line? Who gets a shot or who doesn't? This sounds more like you won't be satisfied until the guy YOU want to be called "the man" gets the title...

ring ranked Champ and then 1 and 2...Baldi.. Mayweather and then Margarito..Is Baldi the ring "champ" at welter? YES. does he deserve to be it? YES. is he the best at welter? well most people belive Mayweather is based on the fact that he is Mayweather, others belive Margarito is because he is ranked top three in ring at welter and is a proven title holder(if you feel he isnt proven then you need to go watch some boxing)these three can fight each other and decide who is the best in that division, Marg already showed interest in Floyd he declined...so "if" Floyd fights Baldi and wins..he will be the "ring" champ no doubt, but will have unfinished business with Margarito..If you do not feel Margarito is worthy go take that up with Ring who placed him at 2nd below Floyd at welter

Baldomir is a strong fighter, and the biggest fighter Floyd has ever faced in his life. Floyd couldn't stop Victoriano Sosa, and he definitely will not stop Carlos Baldomir. I think Floyd will win a closer than expected fight if it goes down.

This is my first post here. I have a couple questions:

1. People mention Baldomir's power, but he only has 13 KO's in 43 wins. That doesn't seem to translate into Baldomir having power does it?

2. I am not a Floyd Mayweather fan at all; however, how can he be faulted for going after the recognized champ at 147? Granted, Zab Judah and Arturo Gatti are not all-time greats, but Baldomir holds the belt nonetheless. You can't blame Mayweather for going through the path of least resistance to get the belt. It would be different if Baldomir wasn't the champ and Mayweather was taking the fight.

3. How much of the fire has left Baldomir? Has the curse of the "silk sheets" tagged him yet? Would the fight against Mayweather have been different before he made his first million?

I appreciate everybody's boxing knowledge here and have really learned a lot from this forum.
