Chepo Reynoso and Ruiz would be a good team, but Manny Robles isn’t at fault. The fighter has to be disciplined. Instead of buying that Rolls Royce, he should have hired a great conditioning coach and a nutritionist to help him with this camp. Ruiz can still make a statement. He made good money and should invest in having a team to monitor his weight and athleticism. He might not be able to get a rematch, but there’s still Adam Kownacki, Arreola, Luis Ortiz and Whyte. He beats any of those guys in great fashion, the talks of a Wilder or Joshua fight might be in discussion.
Where does Ruiz go from here? Should Andy Ruiz add Alex Ariza to camp?

I was thinking about that and being God's son Jesus, the reason he got knocked down four times in the first he was turning the other cheek like in the bible.
then in the second fight he went all old school biblical and became a vengeful god destroying Ruiz by decision.
Sometimes it takes a while to understand God's ways but they are always revealed.Comment

He will be fine, just needs to listen to his trainer 'Who seems alright'
I don't really think somebody like Alex Ariza's & methods would work well with him.Comment

If you are a strength and conditioning coach, or a personal trainer, or a boxing trainer, you are only coaching the athlete with the athlete's consent. You can't drive an athlete, or control an athlete, unless the athlete himself wants to be driven or controlled. The problem is entirely with Andy. He has an outstanding boxing trainer in Manny Robles, he has enough money to hire an excellent personal trainer/S & C coach, a nutritionist, a chef, even a dancing clown to read him bedtime stories--but unless Andy really wants to be a great fighter, and to take his talent as far as it can go, it ain't happening. And quite honestly, nobody needs to tell a heavyweight boxer that getting morbidly obese is not a good career move. Andy chose to do this all on his own. Why he is self-destructive I do not know, but "it is what it is".I think Andy’s ideal weight would be 245-250. We’ve seen how Ariza transformed Maidana. Ruiz should get a strength and conditioning coach like Ariza that will help him drop the weight while increasing explosiveness. It’s a shame he had 6 months to prepare for the rematch that changed his life and chose to take it for granted. Where should Andy take it from here? Here are my thoughts:
1. Get a good strength and conditioning coach. Perhaps Alex Ariza?
2. Fight someone like Adam Kownacki or Chris Arreola.
3. Get the rematch or go after Wilder.Comment
