Hang on, we just watched Wilder throw about 3 punches a round against Ortiz.

We watched Wilder and Fury throw about 5 a round each.

Joshua landed far more than these 'exciting' fighters ever did. More punches, nice clean shots. For Ruiz part he never forced the fight - he just accepted his role in the fight and waited for Joshua to do something that would benefit him (why would he do that?).

Wilder's last fight was a perfect example of staying at distance - he didn't engage at all.

Fury has made a career of killing fights. He absolutely doesn't want a firefight.

Can anyone even disagree? It's great drama when you're invested in it... as I was in all 3 fights. But what's the difference between having an awkward defence, standing out of range, and moving laterally?

Sounds like the difference comes down to who you decided you were going to criticise before the fight.

AJ was simply jumping. Continuously. Far from Ruiz, who was by far too small and slow to get near. Nothing more.

Fury doing the opposite to Joshua in another way - he avoided an immediate rematch with Wilder. AJ got straight back in there even with his glass jaw. AJ had the bigger balls. Fury is all noise

I'll give you this one. AJ is really interested in being the governor of hw division, to decide whom to fight and whom to avoid, while gaining millions. Hence he had to desperately try and get his crowns back, avoiding other losses. Most heavy hitters can potentially beat him. I'm quite surr ortiz would win, for example.

Anyway Fury is imo much better a boxer. No comparison.

Boxing smart is one thing.
Avoiding your opponent and clinching for your life entire fight is totally different.

Nobody will want to see Joshua's running away for 12 rounds...

Maybe Ortiz would beat Joshua - but Joshua wanted Ortiz when Miller pulled out and Ortiz decided he'd rather get Knocked out by Wilder for a 2nd time than have a better chance at winning 3 belts. Dumbest decision ever.

Yes but if Fury is such a great boxer, why is he fighting such poor opponents? You can't have it both ways.

Fury also ducked the rematch against Wlad and the fight against Price early in Fury's career (who beat Fury in the amateurs). If anyone is cherry-picking, it's Fury.
