It makes a hellava difference when a country has a big pro boxing scene like the US has, gives you plenty of choices to follow regularly and get educated. On the other hand countries where numerically boxing has a small scene have little to follow and get educated about. When a champ appears the attention can be exaggerated, Flips show an extreme example of this with Packy with lots of nationalism thrown in..

When Horn beat Packy a lot of Packy fans and others in AU were upset despite the media favouring Horn, his win was certainly not regarded universally as a win for AU. The Mundine fight copped a lot of criticism while Zerafa's win got lots of claps.
