BBC: AJ had “health issue” before first fight

    Any thoughts on this?

Unified world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua says a health issue left him "tired" and "drained" in the build-up to his June defeat by Andy Ruiz Jr.

Only a hater would deny this based on how he looked before the fight.

    What a warrior.

I'll create a thread later this week about what I genuinely feel about AJ without sentiments and as someone who has been a fan since his amateur days.

Thanks for your comment, may I ask you two questions please:

      1. What do you think the health issue was? Based on that limited information — and I am not a medical person — but it almost sounded like a heart valve issue or something. The combination of a young athlete with excessive fatigue, and needing surgery kind of gives me the impression Joshua may have had heart trouble.

      2. Do you think Joshua can beat our guy Wilder, or your other UK guy, Fury? How do you think he needs to approach those fights to win convincingly?

Thanks for your opinion in advance.

I beleive his issue was being over eager to finish the fight and getting caught on the temple. This health issue talk is too cloud people's judgement about the loss putting it down to an apparent health issue that's all.

            Thanks for your opinion.
Although I’d normally agree with you, I’ve watched the footage from the first fight a lot and something was wrong with Joshua.

Could have been something as mundane as food poisoning, but I don’t think he was healthy (not sure if it was physical, mental, or what).

It's a heart issue but it doesn't have anything to do with valves..........

Not a problem thanks for the swift response. I agree in part it did look off but he boxed fine up until getting knocked down so I struggle to link his performance to a health issue is all. Im not hating and created a thread last night praising him before anyone jumps in saying im a hater lol
