I must have lost my memory, but I watched most of Mayweather's TV and PPV fights and don't recall anyone calling him a runner. He avoided punches mostly with body movement and the shoulder roll. Perhaps the "runner moniker" comes from Pacquiao fans or other interested parties.

Yea, no. Ruiz just isn;t that good. If you move on him he can’t do anything. All Joshua had to do was fix the tendency of sitting inside.Comment

He ain't beating joshua at 250 or any weight. It was a temple punch and nothing more. And he will get his head taken off by Wilder.Comment

So ***in what. He went 12 rounds easily. He just ****kng sux.Not you, but I'm just saying, it's frustrating hearing people on NSB be so inconsistent.
Ruiz CLEARLY was not prepared for the fight. Say what you will about styles, he was not in physical shape. Mental, sure. Physical, no. And someone told him to BS his way through it.
But how's that any different from -
Lemieux getting outclassed by Saunders - then excuse?
Manny getting outclassed by Floyd - then excuse (and a form filled out with invalid information)?
Stiverne getting outclassed by Wilder the first time - then excuse about being dehydrated (I think he was vitamin deficient, but still)
Eubank Jr. getting outclassed by Groves - then excuses (to the point his own dad had to tell him the facts)
Wilder getting taken to a draw by Fury - then more excuses than I've ever seen
That's why I keep telling people, Boxing is a BUSINESS. These guys are told to go out there and sell the MF'n fight and get asses in the seats no matter what is going on with them. So you can't get mad when it turns out your guy (not YOU, just saying) gets smoked (or heavily tested) and makes excuses after the fight. In an age where steroids are not welcome, that's going to keep happening.Comment

AJ was not prepared for the first fight. Does that mean he didn’t deserve the rematch?By his own admission, Ruiz did not prepare for this fight in a professional manner. People paid their hard-earned money to watch this fight. At a minimum they expected both fighters to be prepared. One was and the other was not. Ruiz cheated the public as well as himself. This level of disrespect does not go unnoticed. Andy Ruiz does not deserve another big payday.Comment
