I agree with Andy's trainer. He basically said that Andy is a fat bastard who didn't put in anywhere near enough of an effort in camp. Also saying he acted like the typical American, stuffing his fat face with all kinds of greasy, sugary crap, with no willpower or care for his conditioning or health. According to coach Robles, these are the things that ultimately lost Andy the fight. Ill discipline. We will ignore the part where coach Robles tried to label morbid obesity as a "training injury." Overall he was spot on with his post-fight analysis.
Andy Ruiz cannot just demand or call for a third fight, on that showing. He simply doesn't deserve it. At this point he would be cashing out after disgracing himself, his coach, the country of Mexico, fat Yanks, fat Latino Yanks, Los Pollos Hermanos, etc. He has it all to prove now. Either the first AJ fight was his peak resulted in his 15 minutes of fame, or he can apply himself properly. He needs to come through a couple of tough fights now before deserving such a big chance again. Fight someone like Jarrell Miller or Adam Kownacki, one of these other fat American-based fighters.
