The Sweet Science as they say

LOL what is all this bollocks? Joshua controlled the fight, he was winning the rounds and Ruiz was falling behind on the cards. Joshua could of pushed harder. I feel he could of doubled up on his jab or throw more combinations but he was already winning, at some point, if Ruiz really wanted to hang on to his belts, he was going to have to try harder to get closer and take more risks which Joshua would of tried to take advantage of. But Ruiz didnt really throw it all in trying to snatch the fight back off of Joshua's control and Joshua remained discaplined. Personally when they did exchange Joshua seemed to get the better of it anyway.
Yes we would of all liked Joshua to be more aggressive but his priority was to Box smart and win the fight. Its still Boxing here it is not bumfights on Youtube.Comment

Never said I wasn’t entertained.
I was correcting the man’s statement when he said sports isn’t entertainment.
Read the whole thread first before responding, nitwit.

Like I said I agree Joshua won the fight, he controlled it.
Idk why people think this thread is about Joshua not winning/losing.
It’s mostly inspired by his post fight comments, about the “sweet science.” People take that line too far.
It’s more accurate to say “beat your opponent up and not be beaten up” through the art of punching.Comment

everyone hates the sweet science until their fighter does it, then its the best thing going, and yes he was there to survive he remembered the first fight n had a game plan no to exchange n dance around the ring, he won.Comment

So if you were entertained then what’s all the tears and snot nose whining about? So you were entertained by the fight yet you still felt the need to make a thread crying about Joshua’s game plan/style?
Again, if you don’t like to see fighters using movement and strategies involving staying on the outside and controlling the fight from a distance then maybe the sport of boxing isn’t for you.Comment

To be honest, Joshua looked more like Wlad/Andre Ward than Mayweather in there, he box but am surprised he was able to do it for 12 rounds, Wlad learn along the way to fight like that, Joshua is now doing the same thing, Ward and Mayweather just had that style when they needed to.
Moving forward Joshua can either adapt his style to suit the opponent or he can go back to his bullish style. The only thing is that would get him in more trouble in the future.Comment
