He should have stood in the middle of the ring with his hands down and let ruiz knock him out!!!!

In the first few rounds he was doing a great at distance. Then anytime Ruiz got close to him he clinched. The ref should have taken points from Joshua for the excessive clinching imo.

i could care less about "controlling" anything...wilder is still a force and a wbc champ......but AJs handlers better sack up soon and make the fight instead of running.....which AJ did alot of tonight against a short tub of butter

wilder knocks mf'ers out...this "champ" went safety first against parker and ruiz right after hitting the floor in his previous fights...he dont wanna fight...

Yeah boxing fans suck. People that hated certain fighters “because he’s a puncher I’m not a casual I only like boxers” now love Wilder “because he’s a puncher” but hate to see Boxing and claim guys like Loma are caveman and boring.

Boxing fans are terrible. Only if you’re talking history where they have had a chance to stop being emotional and mature will you have intelligent boxing discussion for the most part.

The fight ******. It was boring like every Ward fight. If someone likes one and not the other they are hypocrites.

holy christ are you guys going to celebrate that crap now after years of pissing on it? lol

that might have been more boring than the parker fight

and christ these guys are acting like they just pulled an upset or something "were gonna party where the turn up"...like it was monumental

you beat an overweight midget who didnt even train.....

better stay keeping away from the champ deontay
The irony of it all is you seem to rate AJ higher than most in a backhanded way including people that actually want him to win. You might even rate him more than AJ rates himself ffs. Higher than Hearn rates him, lol.

AJ came in light with the sole focus of keeping it long. He hurt Ruiz in the first match and got splattered trying to end it so he just took the chance away from Ruiz by never holding his feet for too long.

He adjusted well. He boxed nicely. He never needed a second wind which he nearly always needs.

But AJ is not as good as YOU think he is.

He’s dealt with adversity well a number of times now against Whyte, Klitschko, Povetkin, and Ruiz. He’s come up short once and rectified it.

i am not complimenting him at all....AT ALL....the most i could compliment him is saying he did what he had to do to win....and he did....but man was that boring....he wont be able to pull that stuff on a 6-7 athlete.......not one that hits like a mule.....which is why they didnt even wanna say his name and will stay away as long as they can....

the first loss was actually a blessing to AJ...because he can avoid wilder now under the guise of "trying to become better and know who I am as a fighter"....watch...they wont go near wilder if he beats fury....theyre hoping like holy hell fury wins

It’s the only way he beats Ruiz.

I just can’t see AJ doing anything against Fury.

He’ll outbox Wilder up until the point he doesn’t.

I don’t know what AJ would actually do with Fury. Would be a fascinating.

sadly it probably is the only way he beats ruiz......but i mean....yeah i dunno...

we may see fury aj if fury beats wilder.....but hearn said he wouldnt even say their names...i know he was thinking he was acting kingish but deep down they are a bit worried...if wilder wins they are deathly afraid...if fury wins they are wondering how someone finally survived and solved wilder....and what that could mean against them.....either way they wouldnt be fighting a 6-1 tub of butter they can run and dance away from all night

The difference between Ward and AJ imo is that I always felt that Ward had more ability than he put on display, far too much ability to resort to fouling as readily as he did.
Joshua on the other hand is obviously straining every sinew to get the best out of himself.

Absolutely. But at short to mid range, Wilder doesn't have a prayer.
