Here’s a better breakdown..

Joshua jabbed his head off all night, reminiscent of Larry Holmes.
He also rocked him several times but didn’t rush in, you could see it was killing him not to engage, but he either clinched or moved out at an angle.
Ruiz was dangerous whenever they were up close, but more or less followed him round the ring not doing much other than being targeted practice for a snapping jab.

He landed 65 jabs in 12 rounds... not exactly Larry Holmes like... Overall he landed 9 punches/round. 107 landed out of 373... Larry Holmes like eh? Lol!

The thing is Wilder can lose every second of every round all he has to do is land that one punch and it’s over. Joshua has already shown he doesn’t have the best chin doesn’t deal with adversity well. If Wilder had fought that version of Ruiz or even the better version of Ruiz he’d destroy him. Props to Joshua for coming in better prepared and sticking to his game plan but still didn’t look that impressive against a shorter slower very fat unprepared challenger.

Regarding using Ruiz's heavy weight to his advantage -- yes, naturally. What is wrong with adopting a strategically advantageous approach? You are supposed to take advantage of your opponent's flaws.
